Situated on a private street, re-developed in the 70's, the house is named after the kiln itself, which was built in the mid 19th century and which is attached to the house. The designer owner has decorated the rooms to a very high standard, and the house is bright and interesting, and covered in art. The location View location on map>> Holland Park itself provides a wonderfully romantic place to stroll, with beautiful woods and formal gardens surrounding the reconstructed Jacobean Holland House, which is named after an early owner, Sir Henry, Earl of Holland. The house suffered serious bomb damage during World War II and only the ground floor and arcades survived. Holland Park, the area, is these days is an astronomically expensive place to live, and is home to a number of fashionable restaurants, cafes and an exceptional Butcher! Also within walking distance are Notting Hill Gate, Portobello Road and Westbourne Grove, with their numerous boutiques and antiques shops, not to mention a brilliant flea market on Fridays and Saturdays. Getting around The nearest tube station is Holland Park on the central line, a 5 minute walk away. This line travels directly to Marble Arch, Bond Street and Oxford Street. Buses from Holland Park road take a direct route to Marble Arch, Oxford Street and Soho.
