Hinton Waldrist, Oxfordshire

Enquire about this property>>

This spectacular Grade II listed manor dates from the 14th century and a sense of history prevails as you enter the large family kitchen, complete with ancient beams, which was once the original medieval hall.

Guest accommodation comprises a double/twin bedroom with en suite bathroom on the first floor, and a further suite on the second floor consisting of both a double and single bedroom, with shared private bathroom. The guest bedrooms and bathrooms are all in the 17th century part of the house, which is decorated in the classic English country house style. Breakfast is served in the large and elegant dining room which is in the Victorian Gothic part of the house.

The house is set in 8 acres of gardens and paddocks and there are far reaching views across the mature gardens and Thames Valley from most windows. In early summer the herbaceous border in the walled garden is superb, and guests can enjoy a relaxing cup of tea on the terrace, or simply wander around this large and very English garden with its huge variety of plants and shrubs.
